Candle maker's bench.

Candle making is a weighing job and a testing job. Wick & Wax does the weighing and keeps the tests.

WHAT IT DOES

• Six waxes with fill factor, maximum fragrance and melt, add and pour temperatures: soy 464 and 444, coconut-soy, paraffin, beeswax, parasoy
• Containers by water weight: wax, fragrance and dye per candle and for the batch, with pour-pot waste
• Grams or ounces
• Wick starting chart from 35 to 120 mm for CD, ECO, LX, HTP and CDN, stepped up for heavy fragrance, dark dye and harder waxes, double wick over 90 mm, wooden wick width
• Cost per candle with wax, fragrance, vessel, lid, wick, labels, packaging, your time and overhead; wholesale and retail; a margin check on your own price after marketplace fees
• Burn test log per wick with hourly pool, depth, flame, mushroom and soot, a melt-pool chart against the vessel, the 3 to 4 hour window, and a plain verdict
• Cure-time reminder for soy
• Backup and restore
