Is your landing page cooked?

A checklist with teeth. 26 sins that landing pages commit, each with a point value, a burn, and the fix. You open your page, go down the list, put Yes next to every sin, and get a score from 0 to 99 and a verdict from SOMEHOW FINE to INCINERATED.

The 26 sins

Split into five areas:

• Identity: no title, default title, no description, no favicon, no share image
• Headline: no h1, too many h1s, buzzwords, "AI-powered", "coming soon", lorem ipsum, exclamation marks
• Design: the purple gradient, the beige font, CTA spam, "Get Started"
• Proof: "trusted by" with nobody named, no price anywhere
• Technical: no viewport tag, plain http, missing alt text, bloated HTML, script spam, empty shell, too thin

Each one comes with a burn ("A purple gradient. The default costume of every product built in a weekend by someone who did not want to make a decision.") and a fix ("Pick two real colors with a reason behind them.").

The roast tab

Everything your page got wrong, worst first, with the fix next to it. That is your to-do list. Fix the top three and score again. Most pages drop 30 points in an afternoon.
