Charge what it really costs.
Most home bakers price by looking at what the bakery down the road charges, then knocking a bit off. So they work a full Saturday for a wedding order and clear forty dollars. The fix is not a rule of thumb. It is knowing, to the cent, what one cookie costs you to make, including your time and the electricity, and then deciding what to charge on top.
Crumb does that sum for every recipe, and keeps doing it when butter goes up.
WHAT IT DOES
- Pantry from your receipts: package size, unit and price in, cost per gram, millilitre or piece out
- Recipes in cups, tablespoons, ounces, grams or pieces, converted by density so a cup of flour and a cup of sugar cost what they should
- Sub-recipes: build the buttercream once, use 700 g of it inside the cake and 220 g inside the macarons
- Your time at your hourly rate, split into prep, baking, decorating and clean-up
- Packaging per piece, and monthly overhead (power, licence, insurance) spread over your batches
- Markup or target margin, price rounding, and a complexity multiplier for custom decorated work
- Price per piece and per batch, cost breakdown bar, profit each, profit per batch, real hourly pay, break-even
- What if: slide ingredient prices, your rate or the price you charge and watch the margin, plus a table of profit at prices above and below yours
- Orders: customer, occasion, due date, items, delivery, deposit, notes, and the profit on the whole order
- Shopping list for an order, added up across recipes and sub-recipes, in packages at the size you buy
- Printable quote with your business name and contact, and a printable price list for a market stall
- Sample pantry and six recipes to start from, then replace with your own
- Backup and restore

Crumb
bakery pricing calculator: true cost per cookie or cake, a price that pays you, printable quotes and a market price list
Every cottage baker asks the same question: what do I charge? Crumb answers it from your own receipts. Type what you buy and what it cost, build recipes in cups, grams or spoons, add your time, packaging and overhead, and it shows the price per cookie, cake or jar, the profit, and what you really earn per hour. Then it prices whole orders, writes the shopping list and prints the quote.
One-time price in US dollars, checkout by Stripe. After paying you land on a page with your download link. Each link works for 15 minutes, and reopening that page makes fresh ones.
